REFURBS
Oak cabinets, coffee table and mirror
The owner of these beautiful oak cabinets wanted to update them so they were gently rubbed down and painted in Mylands Burlington Arcade. A coffee table and mirror completed the look.
Old school desk
The customer wanted the desk painted raspberry and then distressed. The desk lids were sanded and simply waxed as the wood was in good condition.
Two-tone drawers
This pretty chest of drawers needed mending as well as painting.
Drawers in Mylands Hoxton Grey, the rest in Mylands Ludgate Circus.
Nest of tables
I had free rein with this set of drab dark wood tables and experimented a bit with looks before the customer decided she wanted a bit of both.
A matt gold with a floral design under the glass to tie in with a living room palette.
Rocking chair
This rickety rocker was being passed down within a family and needed updating.
It was tightened and glued, then painted in a white eggshell.
The customer then ordered bespoke cushions from local upholsterer Beccy Holloway (beccyholloway@gmail.com).
Bed frame
A dated pine bed gets the soft grey eggshell treatment.
Sideboard
A sideboard with sentimental value gets a modern look. The grey works well with the marble top it has back at home.
Three drawer grey chest
The old fashioned mirror frame and jewellery dishes on this chest of drawers were removed and glass knobs were added to the soft grey paint job to complete the new look.
Large mirrored wardrobe
Another charity shop beauty transformed with a pale eggshell.
And so many more...
This customer simply wanted her shelving units to be a fresher, lighter grey. Simple!
